Patrick Henry Dowling
President and CEO, Seabury Corporate Finance

Patrick Henry Dowling is President and CEO of Seabury Corporate Finance focusing on the Aviation, Aerospace & Defense, Government Services and Maritime industries for Investment Banking and Merchant Banking. Mr. Dowling has 40 years’ experience in the finance industry and was formerly a partner with Massif Partners where he was the Chief Investment Officer of Massif Partners Private Debt.

Previously, Mr. Dowling was Senior Managing Director & Group Head of Aerospace & Defense at Tygris Commercial Finance Group as well as a corporate officer and founder. Before Tygris, he was Managing Director & General Manager of CIT Leveraged Finance Transportation responsible for providing global solutions to manufacturers, suppliers and service providers seeking debt, leasing and structured financings. Mr. Dowling also served as a member of CIT’s Management Committee. He was previously Managing Director & Industry Leader – Aerospace & Defense for GE Commercial Finance. Mr. Dowling had a 22-year career at GE Capital, serving in various management and leadership positions including Managing Director for GE Equity and Managing Director for GE Corporate Finance.

Mr. Dowling has been involved in over $20 billion in acquisitions, equity investments and debt financings in the Financial Services, Transportation (Aerospace & Defense, Trucking, Logistics, Rail, Intermodal and Marine), and Commercial Real Estate industries. He successfully launched CIT Aerospace & Defense Commercial and Industrial Finance business de novo with approximately $2.5 billion in commitments and managed a portfolio of approximately $750 million. Mr. Dowling originated and managed a $430 million portfolio of minority equity investments at GE Equity.

Mr. Dowling is on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation as well as the USO of Metropolitan of New York. He serves as Chairman of the Miss Kate Foundation, participates as an Ambassador to Airlink Business Development Council and is a member of the Audax Business Development Corporation board of directors. He was formerly on the board of directors for the Institute for Defense & Business Foundation, Penske Truck Leasing and the American Trucking Associations Foundation. Mr. Dowling is a certified public accountant and has a BS in accounting from Fordham University plus a JD from Pace University School of Law. He is a FINRA Registered Principal and is Series 7 and 24 qualified.

Patrick Bird
Managing Director & Global Head of Advisory

Patrick Bird leads Seabury Maritime PFRA’s advisory practice globally.

Mr. Bird has over 13 years of industry experience, having held various positions across the world with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Bird was Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Government Relations for INTELS Nigeria Limited, one of Africa’s largest oil & gas logistics companies. He has worked closely with various transportation industry professionals, international oil companies and governments to deliver a variety of port and logistics-related infrastructure solutions tailored to their need.

Mr. Bird has a strong business development background and has led a number of major port development projects globally. He holds a B.S. in International Business from the Pennsylvania State University.

Mike P. Grant

Mike is a Director in Seabury’s London-based Aerospace & Defence (A&D) Investment Banking team. Since 2005, Mike has led or participated numerous buy-side, sell-side and fund raising engagements in the aviation, aerospace, security and defence sectors. He has significant experience in aviation and its related services, having participated in multiple airline opportunities (with a focus on European carriers), as well as in the aerospace supply chain, having worked in aerostructures, MRO services, parts distribution, aircraft interiors, ground handling, IFE, flight training and electronics. Transaction values have ranged from €1.6 billion for the 2008 acquisition of Dutch conglomerate Stork, to a negative consideration and have included management buy-outs, acquisition searches, owner exits and strategic reviews. His geographic focus has been primarily in Europe and clients have included a wide range of governmental, blue chip corporate, and private equity institutions through to privately-owned SMEs and family offices. Mike most recently helped deliver the sale of New Zealand-based world leader in IFE connectors, Phitek, to one of the global leaders in connectivity, the NYSE-listed Amphenol, and, in aviation, he supported the $165m recapitalisation of the UK’s leading independent travel group, Monarch.

Mike originally practised as a Scottish solicitor for a short period before joining the British Army’s Parachute Regiment. After a 19-year career which included operational tours in Northern Ireland and 7 years spent in defence procurement, supporting UK Special Forces, the development of UK ground combat capabilities and, latterly, the UK MoD’s central procurement policy unit, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, having been awarded the OBE in 2003 for services to UK defence procurement. Mike graduated from Aberdeen University with a first degree in law, gained an MA from King’s College London and an AMBA-accredited MDA from Cranfield University. Mike is an FCA-approved person, holding Controlled Functions 10 (Compliance Oversight), 11 (Money Laundering Reporting) and 30 (Customer Function)

Henry W. Juan III
Managing Director, Head of Maritime Investment Banking

Mr. Juan leads the investment banking efforts for Seabury Maritime PFRA LLC (SMPFRA), a global maritime-centric investment banking and advisory firm with offices located throughout the world in sixteen key transportation gateway locations. Henry works closely with C-suite leadership to develop and implement vision and strategic plans, including long range objectives which represent the best interests of a company and/or a public-entity, its overall mission, and its constituency.

He has been closely involved in several recent port-related Public/Private Partnerships (P3) transactions that include the entire spectrum of industry stakeholders, associated infrastructure, and service offerings. Henry’s portfolio includes dealing on a regular basis with ports, terminal operators, ocean carriers, intermodal facilities, industrial real estate, financing port dredging initiatives, and third-party industry service providers. Further, Mr. Juan has been leading Merger & Acquisition efforts, and creating competitive advantage, for parties in the transportation technology sector.

Henry holds a Master of Law from Magdalene College, Cambridge University and a BA from Williams College, where he graduated cum laude as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, he is a FINRA Registered Representative (Series 7, 24, and 63) and is admitted to the New York State Bar and is a Barrister-At-Law at Gray’s Inn in London, England.

Jonathan Montbach
Senior Vice President

Jonathan Montbach joined Seabury in December 2009 and is presently a Senior Vice President in Seabury Maritime, LLC. Mr. Montbach is part of Seabury’s advisory practice focused on extending the firm’s capabilities in areas outside of Seabury’s established global leadership position in aviation and aerospace.Mr. Montbach brings over 13 years of financial advisory and investing experience having worked most recently with KPMG as Vice President Special Situations Advisory Group. His clients have been involved in a broad range of industries, including maritime, gaming, industrials, homebuilders, investment funds, consumer products, satellite and cable communications, retail and energy.

Mr. Montbach has led and managed deal execution teams throughout transactions. He has demonstrated success in a range of areas including out of court restructuring negotiations, exchange offers, distressed acquisition strategies and special situations capital raises.

His career includes working with a number of leading financial services companies such as UBS Investment Bank and AIG, as well as specialized leveraged and distressed investment firms, such as GB Merchant Partners. He is a FINRA representative registered with the Series 7, 79 and 63 and is a CFA charter holder.

Mr. Montbach holds a B.A. from Colgate University, and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business

Stephan T. Krastev
Managing Director, Seabury Merchant Banking

Stephan Krastev joined Seabury in April 2002. During his tenure at Seabury, Mr. Krastev has structured and executed a broad range of transactions, including capital raising, M&A advisory and turnarounds. His current responsibilities include managing Seabury Capital’s aviation investment banking, merchant banking, aircraft leasing and asset management initiatives.

Most recently, Mr. Krastev advised Azul in its successful $450M capital raise from HNA Group, as well as Azul’s investment in TAP Portugal. Mr. Krastev was involved in the highly successful liquidity financing programs for US Airways ($525M) and Air Canada (CAD$1B). Mr. Krastev also advised Frontier Airlines in its acquisition by Republic Airways. Prior high-profile assignments include US Airways’ liquidity financing program ($1.1B) in 2008; advising Northwest Airlines (2005-2007) during its financial restructuring, including arranging $750M of new equity and restructuring of debt obligations; and advising Air Canada (2003-2004) and US Airways (2002-2003) during their respective court-supervised proceedings, including restructuring of aircraft debt and lease financings.

Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Krastev worked in Salomon Smith Barney’s Investment Banking division.

Mr. Krastev holds a B.S. degree with a double major in Finance and Computer Applications Information Systems from the University of Bridgeport. He is a FINRA registered representative with Series 7, 63 and 79

Antares Reis
Managing Director, European Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking

Antares is the Managing Director of Seabury Capital’s European Aviation, Aerospace & Defense (AA&D) Investment Banking (IB) team. Based in London, his primary responsibilities include the origination and execution of all IB-related transactions across the AA&D industry in the EMEA region, encompassing all forms of mergers and acquisitions, fund raising and corporate divestments. He joined Seabury in 2013 and has, since then, built a core London-based IB team to complement our global IB capability and establish key client relationships for mandated assignments across the EMEA region. Since joining Seabury, Antares has successfully completed multiple cross-border transactions in aircraft actuation, aircraft interiors, IFE, safety systems, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), component distribution and scheduled European airlines.

Immediately prior to joining us, Antares spent four years at Barons Financial Services in London, focusing on the origination of AA&D transactions on a worldwide basis where he completed a number of transactions in aerospace propulsion, MRO, aircraft interiors, aerospace distribution and aircraft systems. Prior to that, he led CIT’s European origination effort to tailor financial solutions for European aerospace clients and financial sponsors, where he led or was an integral part of a variety of financing and M&A transactions across the industry including MRO, aerospace distribution, aircraft engine manufacturing, flight training and OEM manufacture. Antares also spent time as an AVP with GE Capital in London, where he worked on European financing transactions and developed extensive international experience covering projects in Sweden, Norway, United States, Italy and UK, and worked for McKinsey in Portugal as an Associate, with PwC as a Senior Strategy Consultant and CCF Bank and Pactual Bank in Sao Paulo, Brazil as a stock broker and mutual funds specialist.

Antares received his B.S. from FGV with a concentration in Finance and holds an MBA from London Business School. He is fluent in Portuguese and English and has a business-level understanding of Spanish and Italian. Antares is a dual British and Brazilian citizen and maintains both SEC Series 7 and FCA CF-30 certification.

Edward M.A. Zimny
President & CEO, Seabury Maritime PFRA

Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Zimny was associated with PFRA since 1994, where he directed advisory assignments on a global basis for a complete host of industry stakeholders. He is a high-honors graduate of the University of Rhode Island’s Marine Transportation & Marine Affairs Program, and has supplemented his education with certificates/diplomas in sea-going operations, business administration and logistics. He has held postings in Asia, Europe and South America, and prior to his work with PFRA, was employed by Royal Nedlloyd Group, Crowley Maritime Corporation, and SeaLand Services. An avid boater and waterman, Mr. Zimny is well-acquainted with the full spectrum of the maritime industry, as he has also had extensive dealings with the marine trades industry while being a past principal of firms which had holdings in recreational boatbuilding, marinas, and commercial waterfront real estate.
