Patrick Henry Dowling
President and CEO, Seabury Corporate Finance
Patrick Henry Dowling is President and CEO of Seabury Corporate Finance focusing on the Aviation, Aerospace & Defense, Government Services and Maritime industries for Investment Banking and Merchant Banking. Mr. Dowling has 40 years’ experience in the finance industry and was formerly a partner with Massif Partners where he was the Chief Investment Officer of Massif Partners Private Debt.
Previously, Mr. Dowling was Senior Managing Director & Group Head of Aerospace & Defense at Tygris Commercial Finance Group as well as a corporate officer and founder. Before Tygris, he was Managing Director & General Manager of CIT Leveraged Finance Transportation responsible for providing global solutions to manufacturers, suppliers and service providers seeking debt, leasing and structured financings. Mr. Dowling also served as a member of CIT’s Management Committee. He was previously Managing Director & Industry Leader – Aerospace & Defense for GE Commercial Finance. Mr. Dowling had a 22-year career at GE Capital, serving in various management and leadership positions including Managing Director for GE Equity and Managing Director for GE Corporate Finance.
Mr. Dowling has been involved in over $20 billion in acquisitions, equity investments and debt financings in the Financial Services, Transportation (Aerospace & Defense, Trucking, Logistics, Rail, Intermodal and Marine), and Commercial Real Estate industries. He successfully launched CIT Aerospace & Defense Commercial and Industrial Finance business de novo with approximately $2.5 billion in commitments and managed a portfolio of approximately $750 million. Mr. Dowling originated and managed a $430 million portfolio of minority equity investments at GE Equity.
Mr. Dowling is on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation as well as the USO of Metropolitan of New York. He serves as Chairman of the Miss Kate Foundation, participates as an Ambassador to Airlink Business Development Council and is a member of the Audax Business Development Corporation board of directors. He was formerly on the board of directors for the Institute for Defense & Business Foundation, Penske Truck Leasing and the American Trucking Associations Foundation. Mr. Dowling is a certified public accountant and has a BS in accounting from Fordham University plus a JD from Pace University School of Law. He is a FINRA Registered Principal and is Series 7 and 24 qualified.
Stephan T. Krastev
Managing Director, Seabury Merchant Banking
Stephan Krastev joined Seabury in April 2002. During his tenure at Seabury, Mr. Krastev has structured and executed a broad range of transactions, including capital raising, M&A advisory and turnarounds. His current responsibilities include managing Seabury Capital’s aviation investment banking, merchant banking, aircraft leasing and asset management initiatives.
Most recently, Mr. Krastev advised Azul in its successful $450M capital raise from HNA Group, as well as Azul’s investment in TAP Portugal. Mr. Krastev was involved in the highly successful liquidity financing programs for US Airways ($525M) and Air Canada (CAD$1B). Mr. Krastev also advised Frontier Airlines in its acquisition by Republic Airways. Prior high-profile assignments include US Airways’ liquidity financing program ($1.1B) in 2008; advising Northwest Airlines (2005-2007) during its financial restructuring, including arranging $750M of new equity and restructuring of debt obligations; and advising Air Canada (2003-2004) and US Airways (2002-2003) during their respective court-supervised proceedings, including restructuring of aircraft debt and lease financings.
Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Krastev worked in Salomon Smith Barney’s Investment Banking division.
Mr. Krastev holds a B.S. degree with a double major in Finance and Computer Applications Information Systems from the University of Bridgeport. He is a FINRA registered representative with Series 7, 63 and 79
Antares Reis
Managing Director, European Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking
Antares is the Managing Director of Seabury Capital’s European Aviation, Aerospace & Defense (AA&D) Investment Banking (IB) team. Based in London, his primary responsibilities include the origination and execution of all IB-related transactions across the AA&D industry in the EMEA region, encompassing all forms of mergers and acquisitions, fund raising and corporate divestments. He joined Seabury in 2013 and has, since then, built a core London-based IB team to complement our global IB capability and establish key client relationships for mandated assignments across the EMEA region. Since joining Seabury, Antares has successfully completed multiple cross-border transactions in aircraft actuation, aircraft interiors, IFE, safety systems, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), component distribution and scheduled European airlines.
Immediately prior to joining us, Antares spent four years at Barons Financial Services in London, focusing on the origination of AA&D transactions on a worldwide basis where he completed a number of transactions in aerospace propulsion, MRO, aircraft interiors, aerospace distribution and aircraft systems. Prior to that, he led CIT’s European origination effort to tailor financial solutions for European aerospace clients and financial sponsors, where he led or was an integral part of a variety of financing and M&A transactions across the industry including MRO, aerospace distribution, aircraft engine manufacturing, flight training and OEM manufacture. Antares also spent time as an AVP with GE Capital in London, where he worked on European financing transactions and developed extensive international experience covering projects in Sweden, Norway, United States, Italy and UK, and worked for McKinsey in Portugal as an Associate, with PwC as a Senior Strategy Consultant and CCF Bank and Pactual Bank in Sao Paulo, Brazil as a stock broker and mutual funds specialist.
Antares received his B.S. from FGV with a concentration in Finance and holds an MBA from London Business School. He is fluent in Portuguese and English and has a business-level understanding of Spanish and Italian. Antares is a dual British and Brazilian citizen and maintains both SEC Series 7 and FCA CF-30 certification.
